Academic Advising Director directs the academic advising department, its processes, and its advisors. Works closely with academic advisors to ensure that a proactive and high-quality approach is taken with all students advising needs. Being an Academic Advising Director assists Dean or Associate Dean in the preparation and implementation of department wide goals, procedures, and controls. Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Academic Advising Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the associate dean. The Academic Advising Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Academic Advising Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. CASE High School Student Exchange Program is presently looking for an ambitious community-spirited individual to be that all-important ‘go to’ person for high school age exchange students due to arrive in August for the 2024/25 academic year. Although this is a WFH role, as a trained Representative, you’ll receive on-going support from your CASE Regional Manager and national staff as you take on a variety of professional and supportive engagement roles in your local schools and community!
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
CASE non-profit, State Department designated program, enables students from over 25 different countries, ages 15 to 18 years old, to experience the American way of life by living with an American host family and attending a local high school, either for a full year or one semester. Students are carefully screened and selected by our international partners to be sure they possess academic achievement, exemplary character, adaptability, and a good command of the English language. Host families provide students with room and board as well as a loving 10 month addition to their home.
