Academic Advising Director directs the academic advising department, its processes, and its advisors. Works closely with academic advisors to ensure that a proactive and high-quality approach is taken with all students advising needs. Being an Academic Advising Director assists Dean or Associate Dean in the preparation and implementation of department wide goals, procedures, and controls. Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Academic Advising Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the associate dean. The Academic Advising Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Academic Advising Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     A Day in the Life:

    The essential functions of this role are as follows:

    • Market the online nursing degree programs offered by Arkansas State University (ASU).
    • Successfully develop and manage a territory of hospitals and community colleges to increase brand awareness and interest.
    • Achieve monthly lead, application, and enrollment goals by organizing and facilitating 12-15 recruiting events (information sessions) each month.
    • Consistently introduce and leverage the roll-out of marketing campaigns and promotions to hospitals and community colleges to establish new partnerships and advance existing agreements.
    • Utilize social media tools to expand recruiting and promoting efforts.
    • Expand knowledge of regional and national nursing/healthcare trends and effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.

    What You'll Need for Success:

    You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 2 years of sales OR industry related Healthcare experience
    • 2 years of hospital/healthcare sales preferred
    • Higher Education experience a plus
    • Successful management of a large geographic sales territory
    • Track record of highly competent organizational and time management skills; professional success and continuous career growth preferably in the education industry
    • Ability to travel within assigned territory
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated to achieve monthly/quarterly KPIs
    • Proficient with using Microsoft applications, CRM/Salesforce, and other systems.
