Academic Advising Director directs the academic advising department, its processes, and its advisors. Works closely with academic advisors to ensure that a proactive and high-quality approach is taken with all students advising needs. Being an Academic Advising Director assists Dean or Associate Dean in the preparation and implementation of department wide goals, procedures, and controls. Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Academic Advising Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the associate dean. The Academic Advising Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Academic Advising Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary

    The Academic Administrative Assistant oversees the administrative duties within the academic department and ensures academic integrity within the guidelines of institutional, accreditation, state, and federal policy and regulation. The Academic Administrative Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Director-Education and works with the academic team, student files, and other academic support staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Collect Proof of Education (POE) for online enrollment

      1. Determine any outstanding POEs and communicate issues timely with the Director of Education

    2. Assist with Registrar-related support

      1. Assist with the registration of students as necessary.

      2. Work with the Admissions team to ensure new students have a first-term course schedule, complete with days and times

    3. Academic Administration/Record Keeping

      1. Assists with monitoring attendance, communicating with Director-Online Registrars as necessary to ensure compliance

      2. Assist in auditing student records to ensure documentation in the file is complete and uploaded into lmageNow as necessary

      3. Evaluate Proof of Education for students per the POE Policy

      4. Assists with inputting of Transfer Credit on incoming students

      5. Assists Registrar-Online and Director-Online Registrars with other academic-related tasks as needed

    Experience Required

    Minimum

    1. Minimum of 1 year experience in Education

    2. 1 year of work experience in project management

    3. 1 year experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

    4. Excellent communication skills:

    Preferred

    1. Proven experience in multi-tasking

      1. Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

      2. Advanced experience with Excel, Sheets, Word, Docs, and/or software tools.

      3. A willingness to roll up sleeves and get things done

    17. Utilizes highly developed communication skills in alt respects
