Pre Health Professions
Job Purpose:
Responsible to the Office of Pre-Health Advising providing general administrative support to the Director and reporting to the Assistant Dean of Operations in CAS. Duties include general clerical, receptionist, record-keeping, budget review, and project-based work.
Essential Duties:
Receiving, assisting, and directing students and parents via telephone, email, and walk-in traffic. Centralized scheduling of advising meetings for the director Creating and maintaining files for our pre-health students. Proofing letters of recommendation and HPEC committee letters. Receiving and processing student application materials and letters of recommendation. Scanning and collating these files into a single packet for transmission to professional school application services. Supporting programming efforts through scheduling and reservation of rooms for the Health Professions Organization, HPEC, mock interview teams, and other purposes. Coordination and reconciliation of purchasing and maintaining budget. Coordination of outcome data collection (e.g., student applications and acceptances).
Additional Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, and ability to learn new software- Strong reading and writing skills; effective interpersonal and communications skills including professional telephone protocol- Good typing skills- Must be able to support the Universitys commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture
- Must be able to respect, support and contribute to the Universitys Catholic and Jesuit mission
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of one (1) year of effective clerical experience
