Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Academic Advising Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the associate dean. The Academic Advising Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. About the Position:
The George Mason University, College of Education and Human Development, Division of Special Education and disAbility Research seeks applicants to fill a temporary position (through spring and into summer 2024) as an Academic Advising Assistant to work with undergraduate and graduate students in Bachelor's, minors, Master's, and graduate certificate programs in special education and assistive technology. The assistant will work with the Program Advisor to refer students to applicable resources, outline clear pathways for program completion, review records for graduation, and initiate and process academic actions.
