The University of Alaska Fairbanks Chukchi Campus in Kotzebue, Alaska is searching for a new Academic and Career Advisor to join the Chukchi Campus team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about higher education, career and technical education and working with students, someone who has exemplary organizational skills and is a team player. The perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills, be flexible, have experience working with our local population and can travel to the villages in the region.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience required, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Cross-cultural experience in rural Alaska Chukchi Campus service region preferred.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Chukchi campus in Kotzebue AK. This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 42_79, based on education and experience.
