Part-Time, In-Person Academic Support Specialist We are looking for an in-person energetic Academic Support Specialist to work with students on reading, math, homework, and study skills. Compensation: $26 - $27 hourly Responsibilities: * Perform on-site tutoring services to students of Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services Inc., as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies. * Use admin hours connecting and networking with outside agencies, homeschools, and private schools about our program. Number of admin hours will be set by Office Manager and will be dependent on how many clients are scheduled per week. This will not exceed 25% of total student time. * Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required. * Abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services, Inc. * Respond to students' requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc., or through the Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services, Inc. website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such students. * Communicate with a student's treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary. * Timely complete notes for each student. Keep student files accurate and up to date. * Charge and collect payments from students for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services. Typically, this is completed by the administrative assistant but on occasion may need to be completed in person if cash or check are given. * Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services, Inc. We meet monthly and this can be done remotely. * Conduct and regulate tutoring services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services, Inc. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers. * Other duties may be assigned by Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services, Inc. Qualifications: Minimum Qualification Requirements: * B.A. required and M.A. preferred ; and * Available to hold at least 4 tutoring sessions per day, 20 sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services, Inc. Potential hours will be 1 pm to 6 pm (this includes admin and student time). * As the program grows there may be potential to achieve full-time status. * At least two years of experience in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. * At least one year of experience working with individuals with learning challenges. Other Qualification Preferences: * Individual tutoring experience. * A passion for working with individuals and their families by learning and utilizing general teaching and the Barton method.
