INSURANCE BILLING/ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
We are a two-doctor optometric practice seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic problem solver who likes a challenge. Responsibilities include insurance billing, accounts receivable, and credentialing, with some additional duties. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, both onsite and remote.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper coding of medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 codes
- Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure timely payment
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues
- Track and maintain doctor credentialing with insurance companies
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes and procedures
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement methodologies
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently.
