Job Objective

Carrying out of simple machine operating and set-up activities on similar operating equipment in accordance with technical specifications and predetermined quality standards. Carrying out of simple indirect organizational tasks within the context of group work, according to the working tasks assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

A. Set-up, adjustment, maintenance, assembly

1. Carry out simple machine operating and set-up activities on similar operating equipment in accordance with technical specifications and predetermined quality standards.

2. Carry out simple adjustments to jigs, machinery and equipment.

3. Detect faults, identify and eliminate simple causes of errors, consult specialist personnel and pass on information regarding fault or problem.

4. Ensure the objectives prescribed for the area of operation are met with regard to product and work quality; where appropriate make suggestions for improvement.

5. Occasionally carry out simple maintenance work, inspections and repairs (e.g. to processing stations, control systems, machines/equipment and jigs) as well as carrying out regular safety tests.

6. Carry out simple assembly activities.

7. Instruct assembly workers assigned to supervised operating equipment.

B. Indirect group work tasks

1. Completion of indirect tasks that support production and organization if necessary, according to the task assigned, such as data recording, logistics, quality, steering, set-up and repairs (see enclosure: Indirect tasks for posts within the context of group work).

2. Carrying out simple indirect organizational tasks within the context of group work, according to the working tasks assigned (e.g. SAP activities such as completion messages, SQS tests etc., documentation, data collection and the recording of key data, PDM).

Carrying out other tasks related to this position (including examining as well as complying with industrial safety and environmental protection measures pertaining to the scope of duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
