Account Executive, Sr. develops relationships with larger and more complex clients to increase revenue. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and identifies business opportunities to upsell services/products to current and new businesses. Being an Account Executive, Sr. drives retention and growth among customers by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed. Has detailed knowledge of products and services offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Additionally, Account Executive, Sr. maintains a cadence of communicating with customers to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Advises internal teams on product and service improvements/suggestions based on client feedback. Provides sales quotes and responds to requests for proposals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Account Executive, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
     
                   
    1. Prospect and develop strong professional relationships by identifying key decision makers, determining the best approach either via phone calls, e-mails, and/or face to face customer visits. - Metric expectations to be defined by management.
    2. Frequent travel to attend industry tradeshows and networking events.
    3. Understand the customers’ shipping needs, negotiate rates, find pain-points, and provide solutions to help the customer benefit from their supply chain.
    4. Create unique solutions based on customer needs utilizing our vast portfolio of services.
    5. Build strong relationships with customers by staying in constant communication to ensure day to day and long-term needs are met while providing an excellent customer service experience.
    6. Manage customer expectations, while ensuring customer commitments are met, working with internal teams, and executing operational tasks as needed.
    7. Possess the ability to multitask and work outside of the traditional office environment while maintaining the flow of business.
    8. Participate in the planning and strategy for the long-term growth and success of the department.
    9. Stay up to date on industry trends and industry best practices to provide solutions that add value and efficiencies within the customer’s supply chain.

    11. Collaborating with internal teams to provide the best overall experience for the customer.
    12. Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
     
     
    Minimum Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Required:                                                                                                                                                                                               
    1. 3 years sales experience working in the Solar or Renewable Energy industry.
    2. 3 years or a deep understanding of the transportation or logistics industry.
    3. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
    4. Passion for sales and customer relationships.
    5. Entrepreneurial sales approach.
    6. Driven, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and results focused.
    7. Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.
    8. Excellent communication skills, including persuasion and negotiation.
    9. Commitment to executional excellence and outstanding customer service
    10. Highly developed organizational and time management skills; capable to manage and prioritize work and customers.
    11. Open and able to travel as the workload requires, minimally 50%
