Account Management Manager manages and develops sales plans for a team of account managers. Focuses on the long-term planning and selling of a variety of products, services, and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients. Being an Account Management Manager ensures that account managers meet the ongoing needs of clients and prospects while accomplishing individual revenue goals. May be personally responsible for managing major accounts. Additionally, Account Management Manager may set sales targets or quotas. May make suggestions for product improvements or expanding sales channels. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Account Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Account Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Account Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving incremental sales growth.

     Responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day operations for several different types of accounts
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within entire client organization
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
    • Drive incremental sales growth through upselling and cross-selling
    • Collaborate with internal teams, this includes all divisions to deliver on client expectations
    • Track and report on account performance and progress
    • Identify and resolve account issues and challenges
    • Ensure seasonal plans meet business objectives & analyze business with planning team to maximize sales growth opportunities.

     Requirements:

    •  Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
    • 3 years of experience in account management or business development
    • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing multiple accounts
    • Tenacious, resilient, persuasive, and can take initiative.   Display a positive attitude and a willingness to learn 
    • Self-motivator, quick study, works hard independently, does not need constant direction; takes action and runs business.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, follow-up/organization skills, problem solving, analysis, and presentation skills are paramount to success in this position
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Must live in Austin, Texas

    • Contract and Agreement Management: Account Managers assume a leadership role in overseeing all facets of client contracts, including negotiations approved by our accounting team and pricing discussions. This involves maintaining regular communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and that their agreements remain aligned with their evolving requirements, all while safeguarding our financial success.
    • Proactive Client Communication: Maintaining open lines of communication with clients is crucial. Account Managers keep clients informed about the latest products, services, or offerings that could add value to their businesses. Regular updates and proactive outreach ensure clients remain engaged and informed.
    • Renewal Strategy: Smooth contract renewals are vital for client retention. Account Managers work diligently to facilitate seamless renewals, which often include yearly touch base meetings to discuss pricing adjustments, contract extensions, and any modifications required to meet changing client needs.
    • Performance Monitoring: Account Managers continuously monitor the sales performance and account health of their portfolio. Collaborating closely with the Client Services team, they ensure that any issues are promptly addressed, and opportunities for improvement are identified and acted upon.
    • Collaboration with Client Services: A strong partnership with the Client Services team is essential. Account Managers work hand-in-hand with the Client Services team to guarantee that clients receive exceptional support and service, and that client feedback is incorporated into account strategies.
