Account Management Manager manages and develops sales plans for a team of account managers. Focuses on the long-term planning and selling of a variety of products, services, and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients.     POSITION SUMMARY

    As an Account Manager with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by focusing on both winning new business as well as growing existing customer relationships. Our business-to-business Sales Reps deliver on a go-to-market strategy that helps our customers expand their offerings, achieve cost savings, and deliver margin improvement and profitability for LDI, while maintaining long-term customer relationships.

    This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Sales - Central Regionand is located at Liberty Packagings manufacturing plant in Rock Island, IL.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • In partnership with the area Sales Manager, build and execute a sales and marketing strategy to capture new business at existing customers and identify new customers in a variety of new and emerging industries
    • Drive new sales opportunities by identifying key decision-makers and creating the right approach to reach them. Execute traditional and Go-To-Market sales strategies to capture market share, improve profit margin, and deliver untapped value for our customers
    • Initiate customer relationships and close business utilizing a proven sales process
    • Leverage our packaging capabilities as you work closely with our talented internal teams: design, pricing, customer service, estimating, production, procurement, and logistics to design custom packaging solutions that meet our customers needs
    • Manage customer expectations and provide an excellent customer service experience
    • Continue to cultivate long-term customer relationships as you strive to meet their ongoing packaging needs.
    • Monitor market, customer, and consumer trends that impact the business
    • Other duties, as assigned

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • High school diploma / GED equivalent from an accredited institution and 2 related sales experience OR Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field in lieu of experience
    • Experience planning, implementing, and analyzing new sales strategies
    • Experience in a manufacturing organization is a plus
    • Strong prospecting and business development skills
    • Excellent communication skills and superior resolution and decision-making skills
