Job Summary

The Student Account Representative in the Business Office reports to the Vice President on the Tradition Campus. Employee provides students with accounts receivable information, assists with billing concerns and inputs data into CAMS.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.
• Assists the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.
• Participates in the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Business Office.
• Actively works at establishing positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations on the Tradition campus which include the following:

• Accepts payments from students.
• Writes receipts.
• Inputs payment information to CAMS.
• Prints billing statements.
• Assists with mail-outs of billing statements each term.
• Accepts payments for admission application fees (graduate and undergraduate).
• Accepts payments for graduation fees.
• Helps with bank deposits.
• Assists students with questions or requests regrading student refunds.
• Assists with collections (follows up by contacting students who are late making payments).
• Serves as a substitute for other staff members when absent or away from their desks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, and to use standard office equipment including a computer
• Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
• Must have ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment
• Must have ability to run errands to other buildings on campus

Required Qualifications

• BS Degree or working on completing degree in related field.
• Excellent people skills
• Excellent computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• BS Degree with 3 years experience.
