The Account Representative pursues relationships with potential new accounts and seeks business expansion opportunities with current clients. Develops relationships with smaller to mid-sized clients in order to increase revenue. Being an Account Representative may support higher-level account managers working with larger accounts. Has detailed knowledge of products and services being offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. In addition, Account Representative may visit client locations periodically to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all direct sales and activities relative to those accounts and prospective accounts found within an assigned area of responsibility. This individual maintains regular contact with focus on building the pipeline & business development through telephone prospecting. Build leads in salesforce and track the status for accountability.

What you’ll be doing:
Keeping an updated and accurate list of prospects and accounts
Analyzing and qualifying prospective accounts
Conducting initial contact and subsequent sales calls to accounts, selling and establishing relationships necessary to produce first time and repeat business
Generate sales proposals and sales presentations to prospects
Quarterly trend review with sales manager to ensure target growth goal is on track as well as other assigned goals.
Developing and implementing sales strategies
Work closely with customer service, plant operations and corporate personnel
Minimal traveling as necessary
Contact management, MS office, Salesforce
Identifying and understanding strengths and weaknesses of competitors of Sonoco and competitive market climate
Managing and analyzing profitability for customer base

Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $60,675 to $72,810.
