AMI is seeking a full time VI Patient Account Representative in the Galloway Vascular Institute office location.

The responsibilities of the Patient Account Representative - Vascular Institute include, but are not limited to:

• Confirms eligibility and benefits (including, but not limited to, copays deductibles, referral and authorization requirements) for Vascular Institute patients;
• Obtains prior authorization for appointments, procedures, and imaging ordered by Vascular Institute providers;
• Facilitates processes regarding denied claims, including the review of clinical information, re-submissions, coordination of peer to peer review with insurance company, and working with providers regarding appeal letters;
• Communicates with the Vascular Institute Scheduling Team regarding appointments and authorizations;
• Communicates with patients regarding authorization status and informs patients of potential impacts to appointments;
• Speaks with patients regarding estimated responsibility as needed;
• Coordinates appointments and authorizations with different facilities via phone and website; and
• Other duties as assigned.

The schedule for this full time, 40 hour per week position includes Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.  Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.  The position is based in Galloway, NJ.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and have insurance experience & knowledge.  Candidates must have proficient computer skills and knowledge.  Qualified candidates have work experience as a direct liaison to insurance carriers and have been responsible for securing insurance authorizations for services and/or medical procedures.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, with the ability to function in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.  To be successful in this position, candidates must have strong organizational and analytical skills.  Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette, are necessary for this role.
