Account Representative, Sr. develops relationships with mid-sized clients to increase revenue. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and identifies business opportunities to upsell services/products to current and new businesses. Being an Account Representative, Sr. drives retention and growth among customers by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed. Has detailed knowledge of products and services offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Additionally, Account Representative, Sr. maintains a cadence of communicating with customers to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Advises internal teams on product and service improvements/suggestions based on client feedback. Provides sales quotes and responds to requests for proposals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Account Representative, Sr. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Job Description

    Summary:  Responsibilities include soliciting potential customers and traveling to customer locations to sell an organization's products or services. This requires finding buying opportunities, contacting many potential customers, demonstrating the industrial product or service, and closing the sale with the customer.        

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Identify, develop, and maintain scrap metal solutions for industrial manufacturers to include an administration, operational and marketing plan for each account
    • Visit and entertain accounts to develop strong customer relationships and create business opportunities
    • Address customer issues in a timely manner in relation to operational or administrative issues
    • Ability to coordinate and execute across many different facets of our organization, including our down streams, steel mills, recycling yards, and brokerage teammates

    Qualifications

    • BS Degree in business or sales
    • Minimum 3 years of marketing/sales within the steel or freight industry.
    • Experience with customer development, negotiating and service within Industrial account management is required
    • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of scrap pricing, material identification, costs, operations, and transportation.
    • Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word.
