Has detailed knowledge of products and services offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Additionally, Account Representative, Sr. maintains a cadence of communicating with customers to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Advises internal teams on product and service improvements/suggestions based on client feedback. Provides sales quotes and responds to requests for proposals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Account Representative, Sr. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • The Role

    Guidant Financial is looking for a Remote Account Representative I. Our Account Representatives support small business owners who utilize our 401(k) plan administration services.

    A large part of the role is taking inbound client calls, answering questions, and assisting clients in resolving 401(k) plan related issues.

    The role also requires reviewing the documents submitted by our clients and proactively updating the system to reflect all changes.

    Collaboration is required with other members on the team, such as Plan Administrators and Compliance Specialists, to get clients 5500 filings, distribution requests, loan requests, and other documents completed in a timely manner.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Manage a queue of cases and respond within a defined time frame
    • Develop a basic understanding of retirement plans, specifically 401(k) Plans
    • Ability to complete tasks independently while also collaborating within your team and department
    • Advise clients of internal processes and assist clients with navigating multiple systems
    • Obtain and analyze documents submitted by clients for accuracy

    Additional Functions

    • Assist clients and team members on advanced retirement plan topics including terminations
    • Contributing to department and team projects
    • Performs other duties as required

    Requirements

    • Must be 18 years of age
    • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, finance, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred
    • Basic knowledge of 401(K) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS / DOL regulations is preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to adapt easily to process and organizational changes
    • Ability to have difficult conversations with clients while maintaining professional demeanor
    • Meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving
    • Skills in customer service, organization, and collaboration
    • Ability to work overtime with increased requirements leading up to set deadline period for clients with limited Paid Time Off (PTO) allowed
    • Ability to work in an autonomous environment where you can be a self-directed, independent worker
    • Ability to create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging by empowering all our employees to speak up, ask questions, and be seen

    Other Requirements

    • Must pass a background check
    • Must meet work from home requirements to qualify

    For this position there are minimum work from home requirements that must be met in order to perform the essential functions in a remote work from home (WFH) environment.
