POSITION
The CS Plus full-time (35hrs/wk) Small Account Sales Representative will report to the Manager, Broker Services, and be responsible for insurance program implementation and evaluation as well as manage an assigned book of business from existing accounts. Working closely with the CS Plus staff, New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) staff and insurance carrier representatives the position will be responsible for, but not limited to, basic commercial insurance marketing to nonprofits groups, database management and sales presentation. In addition, the position will require skills in working with the nonprofit community and dealing with top decision-makers in this field. This is a nonexempt position. The CS Plus personnel policies apply to this position in full. This is an employment at will position, terminable for any lawful reason “at the will of” the employer or the employee.
This role consists of a 24 month training and development program that will prepare the participant to become a licensed nonprofit insurance professional. The focus of the training program will be driving new business primarily through agency referred accounts by reviewing, quoting, processing, selling and servicing small account business at the agency.
DUTIES
Travel:
This is not a work from home position. Candidates are expected to work in the agency. The job does not require overnight travel with the exception of annual training conferences in Pennsylvania. Participants may travel locally to meet with prospects and clients and to attend networking events. They will be encouraged to participate in associations and conferences within their specific product niche.
