Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for an Accountant to join our team! As our Accountant, you will perform activities concerned with general ledger and financial reporting. You will assist in the process of accurately stating financial position of the hospital. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. What you will do in this role:

• You will assist in performance of monthly general ledger closing process.
• You will prepare daily and monthly reports for key indicators and statistics.
• You will review and reconcile daily charge and batch reports.
• You will reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts on a timely basis.
• You will assist with fixed asset database maintenance and reconciliations.
• You will assist with preparation of documentation for internal or external audit, tax work papers and Cost Report

What Qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience in health care accounting preferred.
• Strong computer experience, including Excel.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with individuals.
• Additional languages preferred.

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital. We are located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
