Staff Accountant

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will serve as a key member of the Finance team as well as the organization. The Staff Accountant will fulfill all general accounting duties including payroll, cash receipts, grant reporting, and month-end reconciliations. They will serve as a backup to the other Accounting Department staff in their absence. The Staff Accountant will contribute to the continuous improvement of the department and will communicate problems or concerns regarding the Accounting Department to the Controller.

General Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries.
• Process cash receipts
• Record Accounts Receivable transactions
• Maintain Cash Flow report
• Performs various account analysis and reconciliations including bank reconciliation.
• Prepares and posts monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
• Prepares and processes bi-weekly payroll.
• Assists with month-end closing processes and field work for financial audit including petty cash audits.
• Grant Evaluation & Analysis
• Grant invoicing
• Grant compliance/HRSA compliance
• Grant Expense Tracking
• Grant Budgeting
• Value Based Care Program Reimbursement Tracking
• Performs various complex account analysis and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting required.
• 2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct and Paycor a plus.
• Windows-based computer experience with strong Excel skills required.
• Non-profit, grant management, and/or healthcare accounting experience preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
