Duties:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage accounts payable process, including reviewing invoices, processing payments, and resolving discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information and provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential errors or fraudulent activities
- Provide recommendations for improving financial processes and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, principles, and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards is a plus
- Familiarity with wills, trusts, estate law is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
