Growing development company in the Louisville area is looking to add a General Accountant to their team. In this role the General Accountant will handle bookkeeping responsibilities for multiple entities.

Responsibilities:
· Manage lease expirations and rents for commercial tenants
· Coordinate with management companies for rent and financial reports, management fees
· Lease and contract review
· Job costing for construction projects
· Collect information from subcontractors as needed (w9, COI, Lien releases)
· Daily bookkeeping (A/P and A/R) for multiple small entities (QuickBooks)
· Monthly Financial Reports
· Bank and credit accounts reconciliations
· 1099 Preparation
· Submit timesheets for Payroll
· Journal Entries
· Understanding of 1031 exchanges
· Regular distributions to investors
· Annual reports
· Local filings (sub-contractor lists)
· Record keeping of land purchases and sales

Qualifications/ Skills/Education:

• Associate Degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
• Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Minimum of five years of administrative experience.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of Real Estate and/or Investment Company preferred but not required
