As an independently owned franchise that is a locally owned small business, we are in search of an EXPERIENCED in house Accountant to grow with us! A successful Accountant will be self motivated, dependable, and have exceptional attention to detail. This is a part time position offering a flexible schedule Monday-Friday. The in house accountant will work from our office location in order to have access to all necessary information and participate in staff meetings when needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the accounting system.
• Preparation of balance sheets, P&L reports, and financial statements.
• Compute taxes, calculate interest, assist with tax payments and returns.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial information.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting.
• Prepare and file weekly payroll for the company.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA is also acceptable).
• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the GAAP.
• Proven work experience as an Accountant/CPA or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, debits, credits, and financial services.
• Strong proficiency in using Quickbooks Online software and data entry.
• Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
