Accountant maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Being an Accountant compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Additionally, Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Accountant work is closely managed. SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
Intermediate: Accounting, Payroll Systems; Basic: 10-Key, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Human Resources Systems, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
Additional Skills
Completion of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related area, or 3-years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to maintain accurate records, type and enter data accurately. Ability to effectively communicate on a one-on-one basis with others. Ability to maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with other employees, department officials and the public. Ability to report to work each scheduled day, and on time.
