One of Aston Carter's Top Clients is currently looking to add an experience accounting professional to their growing team as a Accountant. This family-owned and operated property management company is growing rapidly and has created multiple new positions in the past year. The Accountant will be responsible for managing budgets for their expanding portfolio of rental properties. The Accountant will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of budgets specific to our rental properties. This individual will work closely with property managers and the management team to ensure financial clarity and sustainability.

What you’ll do:

• Budget Development and Implementation:
  • Lead the quarterly process for each rental property.
  • Review and assess historical data and trends to forecast future expenditures.
  • Track capital expenditures and capital improvement projects
• Financial Analysis:
  • Analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and provide variance explanations.
  • Collaborate with property managers to review and approve property-level expenditures.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve budgeting processes and tools.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in property budgeting.

What you’ll bring:

• 3 years of experience creating budgets
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in real estate or property management industries a MUST
• Working knowledge of Yardi or other property management software is a plus
• Strong Excel knowledge

Additional Information:

• This will operate on a 2 round interview process with a decision to be made within 24-48 hours of completing the final interview
