Specific Job Responsibilities:
o Prepare and submit financial reports and invoices (internal and external) for grants and contracts.
o Prepares/assists in preparation of grant budgets and timely preparation of necessary budget modifications/realignments.
o Monitors grant expenses against budget, alerting and communicating issues or variances to supervisor and program managers.
o Monitors staff time allocations to grants and aids in review of staff timesheets.
o Ensures financial compliance with funder requirements. Requires review and understanding of all grant documentation and related funding source regulations.
o Monitors contract payments and performs timely follow up to assist in collection of outstanding payments.
o Ensures appropriate supporting documents for grants and contracts are maintained in an organized and auditable manner.
o Ensures clear and concise audit trail for all grants.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2-4 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in a larger non-profit organization or public accounting with non-profit industry experience.
