Rex Vault is a stable, third-generation, family owned and operated precast concrete manufacturer with 4 locations in Illinois and Indiana. We have 50 employees on our team and have been in business since 1956. We manufacture burial vaults, septic tanks, and other miscellaneous concrete products. We set ourselves apart by offering a consultative approach to our new and existing customer base on the maintenance and performance of their septic/aeration systems including regular service checks. Job Overview
As Rex Vaults Accountant, you will be the source for managing financial records, including expenditures, payroll (As needed), budgeting and invoicing. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our financial documents, compliance with regulations, and providing timely financial information to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
· Reconcile and submit daily cash report from bank
· Apply ACH, wire, and check deposit transactions to customer accounts
· Invoice corrections/revisions as requested by Customers, Sales Team, or Service Team.
· Enter invoices into accounts payable
· Perform monthly analysis of budget vs actual spend
· Complete daily, weekly and monthly journal entries as assigned
· Setup new accounts
· Collect balances on outstanding invoices
· Contact banks for ACH information
· Other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
· Bachelors degree in Accounting or finance
· 2-3 years full-time accounting related experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Must have QuickBooks experience (3 years Preferred)
· Ability to handle confidential and business sensitive information
· Ability to establish priorities, maintaining quality and timely completion of work
· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting & dual entry
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
