Accounting Clerk jobs in Kansas City, MO

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work efficiently while completing assigned tasks as well as providing assistance to the team when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Provide support to the accounting team as needed

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, POS, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors and customers.
