Title:  Automotive Accounting Clerk

A growing multi franchise dealership group is seeking an Automotive Accounting Clerk for our Service Departments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• experience in the Automotive Business
• knowledge of basic accounting principles
• the ability and initiative to work in a busy environment, interacting with employees in various locations.

Job Responsibilities mainly include:

• preparing daily reconciliations of cash receipts and packaging daily deposits for service and parts departments
• reconciling cash drawers and handling petty cash receipts and reconciliations
• assisting with all 3rd party warranty claims; submitting and ensuring timely payment
• reviewing accounting schedules and rectifying any outstanding items and/or discrepancies with department managers regularly

The successful candidate will:

• learn and navigate the Dealership Management System (CDK)
• have strong computer literacy using Microsoft Software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
• be a resourceful critical thinker and have strong follow up and time management skills
• have strong mathematical abilities, knowledge of debits and credits, and can prepare and comprehend reconciliations
