Accounting Clerk jobs in Syracuse, NY

We are looking to train a dedicated professional looking for a long-term profession in our automotive office to manage the daily accounting tasks. Will be responsible for managing the bank deposits, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Schedules.

Compensation will be based on experience.

Responsibilities:
-Calculate weekly payroll

-Perform daily data entry of financial transactions into accounting software systems
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks as assigned

Experience:
-Experience in an accounting role is encouraged
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations is a plus
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
