Accounting Director directs the operations and policies of an accounting function. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental, financial, and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Being an Accounting Director monitors and evaluates accounting systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Oversees overall monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Additionally, Accounting Director develops and directs accounting professionals and supports staff through subordinate managers. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Summary
This position is responsible for the overall office management and general reception. Serving as an example for and coaching team members toward our core values is essential in this position.
Relationships
This position reports directly to the Regional Controller with work direction provided by the Farm Manager. The position will work closely with other members of the management team.
Responsibilities
In this position you will:
• Provide overall general office management for all regional locations.
• Create and issue all purchases orders, reconcile receipt of items, and ensure invoices are coded and processed to accounts payable for timely vendor payment for all regional locations.
• Coordinate related receipts, reconcile expenses and submit all site credit card reports for processing, serve as co-pilot for all site credit card accounts for all regional locations.
• Coordinate fuel WEX card processing and reconciliation as well as issuing new cards for all regional locations
• Provide IT support for managing shared files, software and hardware updates, virus protection, and others as assigned.
• Purchase, inventory, and issue office supplies and safety PPE for all regional locations.
• Coordinate and maintain office housekeeping and organization for all regional locations.
• Coordinate and organize food safety program documentation and compliance for the site.
• All other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor or Associates degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of office management experience with prior work in agriculture preferred.
• Demonstrated strong work-ethic, outstanding leadership ability and exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to flex work schedule as needed based on seasonal demands of an agricultural operation, which may include weekends as needed periodically.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Superior demonstrated organizational and project management skills including the ability to anticipate challenges and find solutions.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred, but not required.
