Accounting Director directs the operations and policies of an accounting function. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental, financial, and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Being an Accounting Director monitors and evaluates accounting systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Oversees overall monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Additionally, Accounting Director develops and directs accounting professionals and supports staff through subordinate managers. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Job duties:
· Managing Account Payable and Account Receivable using Quickbooks (minimum 3 years experience required)
· Weekly Payroll using Paychex
· Recording transactions in Quickbooks Desktop
· Bank and credit card reconciliations
· Prepare checks, payment and bank deposits
· Verifying pricing on all purchases
· Managing AR collections
· Invoicing restaurant and catering customers
· Balance Daily Register receipts
· Foster favorable Employee, Customer, and Vendor Relations
· Maintain and organize all files including archiving previous years in a clearly identified, easily retrievable manner.
· Managing day to day running of the office
· Answering phone calls and responding to emails
· Ordering and managing all office supplies
· HR responsibilities such as posting ads, interviewing, background checks, onboarding, managing employee files, employee benefits, days off requests, organizing company parties, birthday celebrations etc.
