We are seeking an Accounting Director

The individual will be responsible for responsible for performing accounting analysis related to new transactions and acquisitions and effectively documenting and communicating appropriate conclusions under US GAAP and IFRS to senior executive management. The individual will also oversee general corporate accounting oversight, including sharing and implementing best practices across business units.

This position will play an integral role in ensuring accurate financial information. The individual will need to be solutions oriented balancing compliance requirements with a practical approach. The individual will need strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple levels in the organization. The individual will need to have strong project management and coaching skills and have strong ownership of their work, driving work to completion and meeting deadlines.

Essential Functions:

• Directing and manage the workload of managers and/or senior accountants on various tasks related to driving change and consistency across business units
• Preparation and/or review of accounting memos and position papers and coordination with external auditors as needed related to new or developing transactions. These transactions could include possible corporate investments, new ventures and new contracts.
• Internal controls oversight and evaluation
• Analysis of new accounting standards and their impact on the Company
• Updating and drafting of internal accounting policies
• Effectively communicate with senior level management and the Audit Committee regarding items that require their attention
• Review investor relations and other company wide presentations.
• Special projects as needed
