REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior accounting role, including at least 2 years managing an accounting team
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Preferably experienced in property management or real estate finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with PEO software and Yardi is a plus
• Must be self-motivated and able to manage full-time responsibilities
JOB DUTIES:
• Manage daily operations within the accounting department
• Conduct payroll processing and manage payroll-related tasks
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports
• Oversee and reconcile bank and investment accounts monthly
• Handle NSF payments, credit card chargebacks, and ACH rent payment postings
• Manage capital improvement payments and financial documentation
• Coordinate financial reporting to lenders and other stakeholders
• Support annual budgeting, tax preparation, and investor reporting processes
• Implement and maintain financial controls and process improvements
SHIFT: • Regular office hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as needed for meetings or events
PHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Mostly indoor office settings with standard physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Needs to meet physical demands such as climbing stairs as the accounting office is located on the second floor
