General Description / Summary -

The right person will be driven to meet the company goals in a fast-paced privately held company. They will be thorough with the financial accuracy of all reports. They must be reliable when it comes to meeting deadlines and closing the books. They get creative when looking for opportunities to remove waste and add value to the company. They will also be adaptable when implementing those creative solutions through team activities.

Reports to: CFO

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

• Manage month, quarter, and year-end closing activities - preparing and posting journal entries, reviewing manufacturing expenses, and completing account reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger and related general accounting processes.
• Provide reports to support our banking relationships monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Support the external review process
• Create and maintain annual budgets.
• Analyze financials for opportunities to reduce costs or utilize assets more

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Drive to add efficiency and accuracy to our accounting team.
• Interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of the organization.

Educational Level:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Previous Experience-

• 5 plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience with ERP or similar systems

Physical Demands:

Generally, works in an office environment but is required to spend time in the plant.
