Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general ledger accounting, data entry, and account reconciliation.
Duties:
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Assist with month-end closing and provide accounting support as needed
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role
- Proficiency in data entry and management
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits/credits and general ledger reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
