Responsibilities:
- Overall management and processing of all accounts payable transactions for the dealership
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, invoices, and payment documents
- Review and code invoices, obtain proper approvals, and enter into accounting system
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors to address any questions, issues, or concerns related to payments
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Monitor and track expenses to ensure budget compliance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments
- Identify process improvements and make recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable process
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in the auto industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software; familiarity with Reynolds Reynolds is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
