Accounts Payable Manager manages accounts payable functions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate financial records and control reports. Being an Accounts Payable Manager routinely reviews applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvements or cost-savings. Reviews and evaluates the accounts payable register to ensure accuracy. Additionally, Accounts Payable Manager designs and implements standard policies and procedures to ensure accurate and compliant accounts payable records. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Accounts Payable Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Accounts Payable Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities

    Supporting/Assisting Personnel:

    • Manages and trains accounts payable clerk(s)
    • Field calls regarding billing and payments
    • Upload authorized journal entries into general ledger
    • Builds relationships with vendors and colleagues
    • Provides support to the Controller and Division Leaders

    Leads Expenditure Processing:

    • Record or approve weekly expenses for all companies
    • Ensures payments are made accurately and timely
    • Investigates accounts payable issues as needed
    • Verify sign offs, general ledger coding and budgetary items
    • Provide weekly reports to Accounting Division Leaders of approved payments
    • Troubleshoot any check feed issues including check splitting, data verification
    • Upload loss draft checks
    • Oversee and complete company credit card activity

    Financial Accounting:

    • Insurance companies’ monthly expense workpapers
    • Commissions and Overrides

    Development of Leadership Skills

    Job Requirements

    • College degree in Accounting or Finance or comparable work experience
    • Proficient interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
    • Efficient written and verbal communication skills

    The successful candidate will work out of the Wyalusing, PA office location.
