Accounts Payable/Receivable Analyst analyzes accounts payable/receivable activities to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Analyst utilizes AP/AR data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvements or cost savings. Generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Analyst investigates and resolves discrepancies in billings and collections or payments. Analyzes customer credit history, determines credit risk, and recommends credit limits and payment terms. May recommend improvements to accounts payable/receivable processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. QCR Holdings is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team! Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for the processing of accounts payable for Community State Bank and the fixed asset accounting for QCRH and its subsidiaries. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the maintenance of reliable accounting information as a basis for management planning and decision-making and for the fulfillment of financial reporting requirements for QCRH and its subsidiaries.
Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in accounting or related field is highly desirable. Prior accounts payable and fixed asset experience is required. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion. Ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously and work independently in order to meet the required deadlines assigned. Proficient in the use of a 10 key calculator and computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong internal and external customer service focus. Ability to work comfortably in a team environment.
