ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
The Accounts Payable Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the financial obligations of the organization. They are responsible for managing and coordinating the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions. The Accounts Payable Manager works closely with internal departments, vendors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise. They also collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes, implement best practices, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position will also assist in reconciling accounts and other accounting areas as time allows.
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associates degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
At least five years of related accounting experience (accounts payable or bookkeeping)
HOURS: 30-40 hours weekly, M-F
RATE OF PAY: $18-20 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists CFO in accounting functions
- Provides accounting support to YMCA staff
- Process and manage accounts payable function
- Works with vendors and maintains all vendor documentation
- Ability to record expenses accurately and prepare reconciliations
- Assists with annual audit
- Works with accounting/office staff as a team and with respect and coordination with co-workers
- Attends training when required
- Other duties as assigned or required by business necessity
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Exceptional skills in the areas of communication, organization, attention to detail, time management, ability to manage multiple tasks, define and set priorities and problem solve.
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Excel, Google Workspace; and database management, especially Daxko, preferred.
- Demonstrated team player with a strong collaboration abilities.
- Ability to take initiative with projects and to work both independently and within a team
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of relevant state, federal, and local regulations.
- Commitment to the YMCA's mission and purpose and knowledge of how it is accomplished through administrative operations.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Noise in the work environment is quiet to moderate.

The benefits package will vary based upon the total hours worked (either P/T or F/T).
