Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager manages the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions of an organization to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Reviews and evaluates the accounts payable and receivable registers to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager monitors account aging reports, identifies delinquent accounts, and refers accounts to collection agencies. Verifies customer credit limits and applicable payment terms. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager designs and implements standard policies and procedures to ensure accurate and compliant financial records. Audits methods and procedures of the accounts payable and receivable functions to improve efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Controller - Franchise Accounts will oversee all aspects of the accounting, invoicing and reconciliation process for assigned franchise locations while also managing a small team of accounting specialists. This position requires demonstrated experience in a full cost accounting role with high attention to detail and strong communication skills.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Plan, direct and coordinate all franchise accounting functions.
    • Meet weekly with the owners of assigned franchisees to ensure daily/weekly/monthly business and accounting processes are performed and functioning properly.
    • Oversee and execute customer billing and vendor payment processes.
    • Review ongoing/monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy of financial data.
    • Coordinate, prepare and present financial statements, using City Wide accounting and financial reporting systems.
    • Assist franchisee with requests for financial information, including insurance audits.
    • Provide franchisees and City Wide management with information vital to the decision-making process.
    • Oversee and execute the monthly rolling forecast and annual budget process.
    • Train and manage accounting/support staff that perform accounting and processing tasks for franchisees.
    • Maintain strong working relationship with franchisee owners and operational personnel, and key third parties, including franchisee’s CPAs.
    • Evaluate and ensure proper internal controls and systems.
    • Provide ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed, including franchisee benchmarking.
    • Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
    • Drive on-going improvement initiatives as a member of the City Wide Controller team.
    • Oversee and perform key account and bank reconciliations.
    • Oversee and execute all processes associate with month-end and year-end close.
    • Provide full visibility and analysis of cash flow projections.
