Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager manages the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions of an organization to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Reviews and evaluates the accounts payable and receivable registers to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager monitors account aging reports, identifies delinquent accounts, and refers accounts to collection agencies. Verifies customer credit limits and applicable payment terms. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager designs and implements standard policies and procedures to ensure accurate and compliant financial records. Audits methods and procedures of the accounts payable and receivable functions to improve efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Zoofari Parks LLC, a company which owns and operates zoos and animal parks, has an immediate opening for an experienced Account Manager based out of our Gulf Breeze Zoo (Gulf Breeze FL) facility. This person will guide and oversee the finance/ accounting department. They will work alongside, and have day-to-day oversight of, a small, efficient accounting team. They will have an ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, monitor, and grow our financial position. This person is a direct-report to the CEO.

    Objectives & responsibilities of this role

    • Take responsibility for all cash management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
    • Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
    • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
    • Understand basic tax structures for accounting purposes.
    • Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management.
    • Comply with national and local financial requirements and standards.
    • Develop, maintain and/or edit working SOPs for the department.
    • Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract compliance and reporting
    • Ability to work unsupervised for periods of time, ensuring the department is operated efficiently.
    • Ensure prompt and timely bill payment.
    • Payroll analysis and payment.
    • Ensure monthly reports are accurate and timely.
    • Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for corporate officers.
    • Manage finance personnel and oversee financial systems.

    Required skills and qualifications

    • Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field.
    • Five or more years of experience in accounting and financial management.
    • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
    • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
    • An understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
    • Experience with QuickBooks and ability to learn other software options.
    • Experience managing a staff of 3 individuals.
    • Punctual, professional appearance, reliable transportation, and able to reliably commute to offices located in Gulf Breeze FL.
    • Must sign and adhere to company non-disclosure and privacy policy.
    • This position is NOT eligible for remote work.

    Salary & Benefits

    · $75,400 - $85,800, depending upon qualifications and experience. CPA would be commensurate with prevailing trends.
