Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an organization's accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and control reports. Monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings or process improvements and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. POSITION DESCRIPTION
I. Position: Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist
II. Status: Full time, Salaried
III. Reports to: CFO
IV. Position Summary: Responsible for the PAS bi-weekly billing and receivable process, including detailed work in denials, unpaid or improperly paid claims, and appeals to obtain maximum reimbursement. Responsible for the filing of claims and electronic clearinghouse processes. Responsible for prioritizing, scheduling, delegating and directly supervising the billing staff to ensure accurate and timely billing
V. Position Expected Hours of Work: This is a Full-Time, Salaried position. At minimum, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. However, there may be some variability in the weekly schedule due to agency need. Occasional evenings and weekends. Staff is expected to be able to work in the office, remotely, or a hybrid of both, during regular business hours.
