A Treasury Supervisor – Accounts Payable job is available with The City of Fort Worth Financial Management Services Department within its Central Accounts Payable Division. This challenging position will be counted on to manage all aspects of the Accounts Payable process and provide expert, driven solutions to manage associated processes and staff, while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, economics, public administration, business administration, human resources or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in tax assessment/collection, managing cash and/or debt, and related financial tasks
• One (1) year of administrative experience and/or lead supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) or more years of Governmental, Accounts Payable experience.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years of Peoplesoft or similar ERP systems experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with other databases a plus.

The Treasury Supervisor – Accounts Payable job responsibilities include:

• Perform and direct the work of staff in managing the accounts payable process to include review and verification of all invoices submitted for payment, interacting with vendors (answering questions and handling complaints), work closely with City Departments to ensure prompt payment of invoices, and manage the Accounts Payable team.
• Maintain the Automated Invoice Management (AIM)  system(s) to ensure all Accounts Payable process deadlines are executed and in strict compliance with State requirements and City policies.
• Manage the 1099 and escheatment process.
• Administer the City’s Travel and Expense reimbursement policy including leading the automation of the travel forms reimbursement process.
• Reconcile various GL accounts which includes recording and reconciling miscellaneous entries.
• Perform extensive research across AP and ERP modules and resolve complex customer service requests and disputes.
• Monitor and manage aging of Accounts Payable in accordance with State mandate.
• Update and maintain the monthly, Accounting close calendar.
• Become subject matter expert on (AIM) Brainware and Perceptive Content.
• Develop staff performance standards and expectations, manage staff performance, and provide training/coaching to subordinate staff.
• Maintain the City’s compliance with IRS guidelines, State requirements, and City policies for accounts payable.
• Perform administrative duties and manage special projects, as assigned/required.
