SynergenX is a leading hormone replacement therapy company. We are seeking an experienced and energetic Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team. This role will report to the Controller and will oversee all accounts payable related activities for SynergenX and its related companies. The role is based at our corporate headquarters in Houston, TX (remote candidates are not being considered).

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee and manage our accounts payable department. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have the ability to lead a team effectively. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and implementing best practices to streamline AP processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
• Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring proper coding, authorization, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain vendor relationships, including communication regarding payment inquiries, disputes, and vendor account reconciliations.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and finance, to streamline processes and resolve issues.
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, accruals, and cash flow projections.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable processes and technology.
• Assist with month-end close processes and provide support for audits as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives preferred.
