Accounts Payable Supervisor jobs in Huntington, WV

NATURE OF WORK: The accounts payable clerk performs all secretarial, informational and record keeping tasks appointed by the Controller and/or CFO and ensures a timely submission of supporting documents for purchase transactions by the company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Associate Degree in Accounting preferred
• Preferred experience in payables operation and general accounting or experience in other similar detailed working duties.
• Proficient in data entry and management.
• Excellent administrative and computer skills.
• Good organizational and analytical skills.
• Team player

WORK ENVIRONMENT: In-Doors 98% of the time; outdoors 2% of the time. Work is performed mainly within LPCC and its main site.

WORK PACE: Pace determined by the need of client(s).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Review and verify invoices and check requests.
• Sort, code and match invoices – set invoices up for payment.
• Track expenses and process expense reports.
• Prepare and perform check runs.
• Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepares analysis of accounts.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
