We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team at our branch in Reading, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents for payment accurately and efficiently.
• Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy of billing and coding.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments.
• Maintain vendor accounts, including updating vendor information, managing payment terms, and resolving any outstanding balances or credits.
• Prepare and process electronic payments, including ACH transfers and wire transfers, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting as needed.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and assistance as required.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in accounts payable processes and technologies to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with electronic payment systems and financial reporting tools preferred.
• Certification in accounts payable or related field (e.g., Certified Accounts Payable Professional) a plus.
