Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts receivable department. Creates and distributes invoices to customers. Being an Accounts Receivable Clerk records, verifies, and posts payments received by the organization and ensures transactions are recorded in accordance with internal accounting policies. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Clerk responds to customer inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies regarding bills. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounts Receivable Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Responsibilities & Description for Accounts Receivable clerk :- Manage payment handling, including reconciling credit card and EFT transactions.
- Assess and prepare various mailings such as notifications, acknowledgments, and invoices.
- Digitize and file supporting documents into the imaging system.
- Oversee daily deposits either physically or through remote methods.
- Sustain and reconcile the daily claims disbursements register.
- Handle EFT transactions, including NSF cases.
- Generate miscellaneous cash receipts for deposit.
- Evaluate and process policy bills and billing statements.
- Execute transactions related to the FIS EAS Interface.
- Provide alternate support for claims check printing.
- Execute additional duties as directed by the supervisor.
Job Requirements for Accounts Receivable clerk :- High school diploma required.
- Fundamental understanding of bookkeeping principles preferred.
- Robust mathematical skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Precise keyboarding and calculator proficiency.
- Proficiency with company computer systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel preferred.
- Efficient multitasking with meticulousness.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Flexibility for varied work hours and travel.
- Comfortable working in an office environment.
- Physically capable of moving and lifting objects weighing up to ten pounds.
