Accounts Receivable Clerk jobs in Macon, GA
Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts receivable department. Creates and distributes invoices to customers. Being an Accounts Receivable Clerk records, verifies, and posts payments received by the organization and ensures transactions are recorded in accordance with internal accounting policies. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Clerk responds to customer inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies regarding bills. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounts Receivable Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We’re looking for the type of person who enjoys Accounts Receivable clerical work, including, but not limited to the following:
- Punctual attendance, Monday - Friday
- Gathering and assembling supporting information for invoicing
- customer PO
- sales order(s)
- shipping documents
- Verify that all orders match the signed delivery receipts in preparation for invoicing
- Responsible for entering and reviewing invoices
- Review accounts in collections, and contacting customers for payments
- All other duties, as assigned
The ideal candidate for this opportunity has:
- Two years of verifiable invoicing/collections experience
- Experience in Sage (MAS90) is a plus
