Additionally, Accounts Receivable Clerk responds to customer inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies regarding bills. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. BFS Companies, Inc. is seeking to hire an individual to work in their Credit Department. Prior experience working with accounts receivables is preferred, but not required. Duties include direct contact with customers regarding account status, research of accounts, assisting with invoice mailings and other miscellaneous activities. Excellent computer and verbal skills required.

3. Basic Function:
The accounts receivable clerk is primarily responsible for posting ROA's and processing credit card transactions.
4. Essential Functions:
a. The accounts receivable clerk is responsible for processing credit cards received from BFS Foods, Granstville Ag, and various petroleum customers. The clerk is responsible for mailing the credit card receipts to the appropriate oil company for processing.
b. The accounts receivable clerks is responsible for billing the oil company and issuing a credit to the store that turned the cards in;
c. The accounts receivable clerk is responsible for posting payments "received on account" into the computer system. This work is performed for BFS Foods, Bruceton Petroleum and Bruceton Explosives;
d. The accounts receivable clerk is responsible for posting the information on the daily report for Kwik Mart I and II into the computer system. Information posted includes, but is not limited to, fuel movements, product sold (beer, deli,) etc.
e. The accounts receivable clerk is responsible for answering the phone and directing the calls to the appropriate individuals when the receptionist is out of the office; and
f. Perform such similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required or assigned.
